How Do You Become a Member
of Christ Lutheran Church?
There are several ways to join the church.
Infant Baptism– for an infant or young person who has not previously been baptized; a meeting between parents and a Pastor is necessary.
Adult Baptism – for an adult who has not previously been baptized in the name of the triune God; a meeting with a pastor is important.
Confirmation – for older youth; instruction in the Christian faith leads to the personal affirmation of of the baptismal promises made on his/her behalf.
Affirmation of Faith – for a person already baptized in a Christian church; a meeting with a Pastor is recommended.
Transfer – for a person who currently belongs to another Lutheran church or a similar church of another denomination; a meeting or two with a Pastor is suggested.
Individual Instruction – for a person whose schedule is complicated, but wishes to learn more about what it means to be a Christian and more specifically, Lutheran; meeting(s) are individually arranged with a Pastor.
Small Class Instruction – for a person who wants something sequential and with others that outlines the Christian Faith, a Lutheran’s understanding of the Word, Sacraments, and Scriptures; arranged through a Pastor and often incorporated in our New Member Orientation.
